In the past, if an individual wanted to file for a divorce in the state of California, they would have had to fill out and submit 12 984 Form to the appropriate court. This process is no longer necessary as effective January 1st, 2019, all individuals filing for a dissolution of marriage in California will be required to use the new statewide family law form, FL-100. The FL-100 replaces all prior county forms and can be used regardless of whether or not children are involved. This change was made in an effort to simplify the divorce process and make it more accessible to all Californians. Learn more about this exciting change below!
