Navigating the highways can become more manageable and efficient with the use of a transponder, especially on Highway 407 ETR. For those seeking to lease one, the 407 Transponder Application form outlines a clear path to obtaining this tool, providing intricate details to ensure a smooth process. Whether for personal or business use, this form serves as your initial step towards streamlining your travel by leasing a device designed to simplify toll payments. As you embark on completing the form, you're agreeing to enter a lease that brings the convenience of receiving One Simple Bill if managing multiple 407 ETR bills, a benefit aimed at simplifying financial tracking for users. The lease operates on a month-to-month basis, emphasizing flexibility with the option for either party to terminate the agreement. By leasing a transponder, you commit to adhering to specific responsibilities, including correct installation to ensure functionality, liability for all associated charges, and, importantly, the return of the device in good condition to recover your security deposit. The form also guides applicants through selecting the right type of transponder based on the vehicle's weight and provides clarification on payment methods, including automatic bank withdrawals or annual payments for those seeking a discount. Furthermore, the form delineates the steps for those needing to register more than one vehicle, highlighting the necessity of an Ontario license plate or providing a copy of your license plate registration if from outside Ontario. Additionally, it encapsulates the crucial aspects of lease payments, security deposits, and the critical terms underpinning the lease agreement, ensuring applicants are well-informed of their commitments and the procedure for transponder application.

Lease payments and certain other fees and charges previously made will not be refunded to you. The Security Deposit will be returned to you at the end of the lease, provided that your account is paid in full and the transponder has been returned to us – undamaged and in good working condition.
407 ETR strongly recommends a separate transponder for every vehicle. If you move the transponder between vehicles, you are responsible for all charges, including video toll charges that may result from such use that are billed to you.
The limitation period provided for in this lease to commence proceedings to collect amounts owing thereunder is 15 years.

We will give you instructions on how to mount the transponder in your vehicle and it is important that this be done correctly. If not, or your vehicle has a windshield that interferes with the transponder, the roadside tolling system may not recognize the transponder. If this happens, our video recognition system will record your licence plate number and your bill will include video toll charges.

•making toll payments, and the lease and other fees and payments as described in the Fee Schedule, as it may be amended and replaced from time to time (the “Fee Schedule”)

You are responsible for these video toll charges, together with any interest or other administrative charges accumulated thereon.
