Form Hrc 1 PDF Details

The HRC 1 form, a critical document for individuals seeking to establish their habitual residence in the Republic of Ireland, plays a pivotal role in the social welfare application process, necessitating a detailed understanding for accurate completion. Designed to assess the applicant's strong and stable connection to the state, the form encapsulates several essential elements, from personal to residency details, underpinning the Habitual Residence Condition. Applicants must demonstrate their continuous connection through various factors including birth, upbringing, employment history, family and community ties, and overall life situation within Ireland. To navigate the application process smoothly, individuals are required to furnish their Personal Public Service (PPS) Number, and fill out the form thoroughly using clear instructions provided, ensuring all questions are answered to avoid delays. Critical to avoiding legal repercussions, honesty in declaring information is underscored, with a strict advisory against false statements. Additionally, the form accommodates those with diverse civil statuses and offers provisions for non-EEA or UK nationals, stressing the importance of valid permits and legal residency. Guidance on completing the form is readily available, as applicants are encouraged to reach out to local Intreo centres, Social Welfare offices, or Citizens Information Centres for assistance. This comprehensive approach aims not only to streamline the welfare application process but also to uphold the integrity and fairness of Ireland's social support system.

However, we need more information to decide if you are habitually resident in the Republic of Ireland. Please answer the questions in this form to help us decide.

What does Habitual Residence mean?

Being habitually resident means that you are living in the Republic of Ireland and can prove that you have a close link to the State.

How do I qualify for Habitual Residence?

Factors taken into consideration when deciding if a person is habitually resident in the Republic of Ireland include:

If you were born and raised here;

If you have a right to live here;

The length of time you have lived here and if you have lived here continuously;

If you have worked here;

If you have close family ties or ties with the community here; and

Your general living situation here.

Time spent outside the Republic of Ireland on short holidays, studying or travelling does not exclude a person from being regarded as habitually resident
