Form Tr 579 Ct PDF Details

In today's digital age, the process of filing corporate tax returns in New York State has been streamlined to accommodate electronic filings, a crucial innovation that enhances accuracy, efficiency, and convenience. The TR-579-CT form plays a central role in this electronic filing process, serving as the New York State E-File Signature Authorization for various corporate tax forms for the tax year 2011, including Form CT-3, CT-3-A, CT-3M/4M, CT-3-S, CT-4, CT-13, CT-240, CT-245, or CT-400. This form is specifically designed for use by Electronic Return Originators (EROs) or paid preparers, who are tasked with the responsibility of electronically transmitting corporate tax returns without sending this form to the Tax Department, essentially acting under the authorization of the corporations they represent. The TR-579-CT is composed of two main parts: Part A, which must be completed by an authorized officer of the corporation, affirming under penalty of perjury that the information on the electronic return is accurate and complete; and Part B, designated for completion by the ERO or paid preparer, ensuring the tax information submitted is consistent with the details furnished by the corporation. Additionally, the form facilitates the authorization of electronic funds withdrawal for tax payments, requiring detailed financial institution information for this purpose. Notably, the form underscores the importance of retaining it for three years should the Tax Department request it, highlighting its critical role in the e-filing procedure and ensuring compliance and verification in electronic corporate tax submissions.
