Alabama Boa Form A PDF Details

The boa form of Alabama is one of the six forms of the boa constrictor. The other five are the red tailed boa, Everglades rat snake, Timneh boa, rainbow boa and Guyanan rainbow boa. Out of these six, the Alabama boa is one of two subspecies that are not threatened or endangered. The other being the red tailed boa. They can be found in southeastern Louisiana and eastern Texas. These snakes are commonly mistaken for copperheads because they have a similar pattern on their skin. However, they can easily be identified by their triangular head shape and black eyes. Although they are nonvenomous, they will defend themselves if they feel threatened.
