Atf Certification Form PDF Details

On July 22, 2013, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) released a certification form to be used by Federal Firearms Licensees (FFLs) when transferring firearms. The new form, which can be found on the ATF website, replaces Form 4473, which was used to conduct background checks on gun buyers. The new form is designed to streamline the process of transferring firearms and make it easier for FFLs to do business. It also includes updated information on state laws governing firearm transfers. The new certification form must be used beginning August 1, 2013. FFLs who do not use the new form may face penalties from the ATF. So make sure you are using the most current version
