In the landscape of education and certification within Connecticut, the Connecticut Ed 192 form plays a pivotal role. This document, issued by the Bureau of Educator Standards and Certification under the Connecticut State Department of Education, facilitates a crucial process for prospective educators. Specifically, it serves as an application for a waiver from the Connecticut Academic Skills Assessment, an alternative route for those who have demonstrated proficiency through other standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, GRE, or PAA. The selection of this waiver is contingent on meeting defined benchmarks, outlined meticulously within the form. Furthermore, the application process mandates the submission of official score reports directly from the testing agencies, emphasizing the integrity and verification of the applicant's academic prowess. In addition to personal information, the form elucidates the criteria for the waiver, including minimum score requirements, thereby guiding applicants through their eligibility assessment. It not only delineates the procedural steps for requesting score reports from respective testing agencies but also highlights the state's educational Standards, reflecting a comprehensive approach to upholding quality in educator preparation.
