The IRS has released a new form, Form 4300 119, to help organizations comply with the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA). This new form will allow qualified organizations to certify their status as "Foreign Financial Institutions" or "Non-Financial foreign entities" and be exempt from certain FATCA requirements.Form 4300 119 must be completed and submitted by all financial institutions and non-financial foreign entities that wish to claim an exemption from FATCA. The form can be found on the IRS website at irs.gov/forms-pubs/form-4300-119. The deadline for submitting Form 4300 119 is June 30, 2017.
