Form Cg 2025 PDF Details

Navigating through the provisions of the United States Coast Guard CG-2025 form, issued by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, reveals a comprehensive tool designed to assist service members in declaring their current housing status. This critical document, essential for correctly determining the Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) rates, accommodates various scenarios including married members, those with or without dependents, and service members paying child support. The form not only caters to the diverse housing requirements but also includes specific provisions for members married to another service member. Such scenarios necessitate the completion of an additional Member-Married-to-Member BAH Worksheet (CG-2025B). Housing information, including the ability to use a housing address as a mailing address and the need for a separate sheet for dependents not residing with the service member, underscores the form’s thoroughness. Furthermore, the form references the Housing Allowance Protection Worksheet (CG-2025A) for BAH requests concerning a non-permanent duty station. This documentation process, deeply ingrained with privacy considerations, aligns with guidelines stipulated under the Privacy Act, ensuring voluntary disclosure that directly influences the accuracy of BAH payments. It also highlights the unauthorized nature of the "collection of information" according to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 due to the absence of an approved OMB control number. The CG-2025 form embodies a crucial logistical and financial facet of military life, navigating through personal and statutory requirements to ensure service members receive equitable housing allowances.
