Form Shp 628B PDF Details

Organizing a marine event in Missouri, be it a tournament, parade, race, or exhibition, involves navigating through the necessary bureaucratic waters to ensure the event's legality and safety. Central to this process is the SHP-628B form, a detailed application that the Missouri State Highway Patrol requires to consider the approval of marine events on the state's navigable waters, in compliance with Section 306.130 RSMo. The form demands thorough information about the event, including the type, estimated participant numbers, location, and specifics that might affect public waterway use. Applicants must submit detailed plans, including race course designs and safety strategies, well in advance—15 days for most events but 60 for those that might interrupt the usual flow of boating traffic. Moreover, the form emphasizes strong communication with the patrol through required updates on any event changes and underlines the sponsors' responsibility for adherence to all boating laws and regulations. Through this form, the Missouri State Highway Patrol aims to balance the interests of marine event enthusiasts with the safety and navigability of the state’s waters, ensuring enjoyable and secure occasions for both participants and spectators.
