This statement may be used by property owners to dispose of an abandoned vehicle in accordance with Section 1224 of the
Vehicle and Traffic Law. It may be used only if the vehicle being disposed of: (1) has a wholesale value of $1,250 or less; and (2) is ten or more model years old; and (3) has been abandoned for at least one month.
If the vehicle is less than ten years old, or if the vehicle dismantler or itinerant vehicle collector pays more than $1,250, he/she mustobtainatitleoratransferableregistrationfromthepropertyowner.
