The RE-2300 Appraisal Experience Log form is a required document for registered trainee appraisers in Florida. It tracks supervised appraisal hours as you work toward licensure or certification with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR).
This form is for registered trainee appraisers applying for a Florida appraiser license or certificate. You must document every supervised appraisal assignment in chronological order. A licensed supervisory appraiser must review and verify each entry before you submit the log.
The RE-2300 applies to all three credential levels: Licensed Residential Appraiser, Certified Residential Appraiser, and Certified General Appraiser candidates.
Each row on the log records one appraisal assignment. You must include the following details for every entry:
Entries must appear in date order from oldest to newest. The form includes a running total of cumulative hours at the bottom of each page.
Florida regulations require a separate RE-2300 for each type of appraisal experience. Do not enter fee appraisals, staff appraisals, and review assignments on the same form. This is one of the most common mistakes that delays license applications.
The DBPR does not accept altered or reformatted versions of the log. You must use the official layout without changes to the column structure or field labels.
Every RE-2300 form requires a supervisor signature. Your supervisory appraiser confirms that the reported hours and assignments are accurate. They also certify that all work complies with USPAP standards.
The supervisor must enter their designation and license number on each form. The trainee must sign and date the form as well. Incomplete signature blocks are a leading cause of rejected applications.
The total required hours depend on the credential level you are pursuing. Licensed Residential candidates need at least 1,000 hours of experience over a minimum of 6 months. Certified Residential candidates need 1,500 hours over at least 12 months. Certified General candidates need 3,000 hours with at least 1,500 hours in non-residential work, completed over a minimum of 18 months.
