Actions that can be conducted with firearms in the State of Nevada are regulated by Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) and federal gun laws. You can purchase a gun only if you are eligible for that.
No registration of a firearm is required in the state. You can possess a firearm without any permit. However, you must obtain a valid concealed carry permit in case you wish to carry a gun in such a manner. Such permits are issued by County Sheriffs. A possessor of a firearm is not allowed to carry it in prohibited places even with a valid permit.
It is possible to purchase a firearm from a licensed gun dealer. In this case, the purchaser is required to complete the ATF Form 4473, which is needed for a NICS background check.
