What an Arkansas Trailer Bill of Sale Must Include
The Arkansas DFA lists a bill of sale among the papers a buyer needs to register a vehicle. The bill of sale must show the VIN, the date of sale, the purchase amount, and the signatures of the seller and the buyer.[1]

Here is what each item means on the form:
VIN. The vehicle identification number identifies the trailer, and the form also asks for its make, model, year and color.
Date of sale. This is the day the trailer changes hands, and it appears on the form twice.
Purchase amount. This is the price in U.S. dollars, and the form also records how the buyer pays, such as by cash, check, cashier's check or money order.
Signatures. The seller and the buyer both sign, and the form adds lines for two witnesses.
Both sides should keep a signed copy of the finished form for their records, because it is the written proof of what was agreed on the day of the sale.

Acknowledgment: county, date and officer Page 4 holds the acknowledgment block, where the county, the date, the officer's name and title and the name of the person appearing go in the lines under STATE OF ARKANSAS. Does Arkansas require a notarized bill of sale?
The DFA's list of what you need for a bill of sale does not include notarization.[1] Arkansas has no statute on notarizing a bill of sale. The FormsPal form still has an acknowledgment block on page 4, so you can sign before a notary if you want one.
Is a bill of sale required to establish proof of ownership in Arkansas?

Does a trailer need a title in Arkansas?
Under Ark. Code Ann. § 27-14-703, the state's vehicle titling rules apply to every motor vehicle, trailer, semitrailer and pole trailer when it is driven or moved upon a highway, subject to the exceptions listed in that section.[2] Read those exceptions for your trailer before you decide that it does not need a title.
Is a lienholder release required on a bill of sale in Arkansas?
The Arkansas DFA's motor vehicle forms page lists an "official release of lien or permission to issue replacement title" among the items required.[3] If a lender holds a lien on the trailer, ask the lienholder for that release before you sell.
