PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION…
CRITERIA FOR RE-ADMISSION TO NEW YORK CITY COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY
•Students who have not been in attendance at New York City College of Technology within the last 5 years must resubmit proof of High School graduation (or GED) and may be required to submit proof of New York State residency.
•Students who left the college while on academic probation must have their academic department approve this form prior to processing. Students who were academically dismissed by the college must file an appeal to the Committee on Course and Standards before filing for re-admission.
•Students applying for readmission must also demonstrate the required level of proficiency in mathematics, reading and writing. Students who left the college on or before Fall 2002 can re-test in any area they have not achieved certification in. All other students re-admitting to the college must pass the area(s) of certification upon re-admission.
•ALL INQUIRIES CONCERNING RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO THE OFFICE OF SCHOLARSHIP AND RESIDENCY SERVICES – NG 09 or call (718)260-5054.
•All students who have attended other colleges/universities after attending New York City College of Technology, are responsible for having those TRANSCRIPTS forwarded to NYCCT Office of the Registrar. ATTENTION: RE-ADMITS
•New York State law requires all students born on or after January 1, 1957 to be immunized against mumps, measles and rubella. If you are not fully compliant, please forward your immunization record upon re-admission to the Immunization Office located in the Admissions office room NG-17 or call (718)260-5250.
•Starting September 1, 2003, all students pursuing a degree are required to take the CPE once they have earned 45 or more credits, are certified in the CUNY/ACT Reading and Essay exams, and have a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Students must pass the CPE in order to graduate with an associate’s degree, or transfer to a bachelor’s degree program. Students with a Bachelor’s degree or higher, are exempt from the CPE.
