Form 720 94 PDF Details

In the realm of welding certifications, the Form 720-94 plays a crucial role in ensuring that welders maintain their qualifications in accordance with established standards. This form, utilized for the purpose of Welding Re-Certification by Performance, operates under the guidelines of the AWS "B2.1-84" Standard for Welding Procedure and Performance Qualification. Specifically designed for welders seeking re-certification, it stipulates that a welder's performance qualification lasts indefinitely. However, should the welder not practice their certified welding process for more than 12 months or if their ability becomes questionable for any reason, re-certification is mandated. This process involves the creation and evaluation of a test weldment using the same process the welder was originally certified in. Required fields on the form include personal information about the welder, such as name, social security number, contact details, and details about current welding certifications and procedures. The form also provides spaces for the contractor or an authorized representative to signify their approval, ensuring that all re-certifications meet the industry's strict standards. Sent from the contractor's letterhead to the National ITC Corporation in Los Angeles, CA, Form 720-94 encapsulates a process designed to uphold the integrity and safety of welding practices nationwide.
