DRIVING LOG TO ADVANCE TO N.C. LEVEL 3 FULL PROVISIONAL DRIVER LICENSE

REQUIREMENTS:

∙Complete a minimum of 12 hours of driving.

∙At least 6 of the 12 hours must be at night.

∙The log must be signed by a supervising driver and turned in to DMV upon application for the Level 3 driver license.

∙A supervising driver must be a parent, grandparent, or guardian of the license holder or a responsible person approved by the parent or guardian, and must be a licensed driver who has been licensed for at least five years.

Note: A limited provisional level 2 license allows the license holder to drive without supervision (a) from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.,

(b)when driving directly to or from work, and (c) when driving directly to or from an activity of a volunteer fire department, volunteer rescue squad, or volunteer emergency medical service, if the driver is a member of the organization.
