You must complete and submit Form M-226, "Statements of Expiration of Temporary Lawful Status," to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) when you return to the United States. Failure to do so may result in your being considered out of status. This form is also used by CBP officers at ports of entry to determine your immigration status.
