Since the events at Fort Hood on November 5, 2009, there have been a lot of questions about why Army Specialist Ivan Lopez had to fill out Form 56 2. This form is used to request religious accommodation, and Lopez had allegedly requested an accommodation for his Muslim faith. The Department of Defense has not released any details about what specific accommodations Lopez requested, but they have stated that he did not receive any preferential treatment.
