Missouri Form 570 PDF Details

Many residents of Missouri with an appreciation for history and a passion for vintage vehicles find themselves navigating the process of applying for the Missouri Department of Revenue's FORM 570 for Historic or Personalized Historic License Plates. This detailed application encompasses several key components, including the stipulation that any false statements may lead to penalties, the necessity of presenting the owner’s credentials, and specifying the vehicle’s details accurately. The form offers options for registering a vehicle under historic or personalized historic plates, with each choice involving specific fees and conditions. Additionally, for those with a Missouri license plate issued over 25 years ago that matches the model year of their vehicle, there's an opportunity to register it as a historic vehicle plate upon submission of a proper photograph and adherence to the guidelines laid out. The form also delves into the choice of personalized license plates, highlighting the criteria and limitations for the personalization options. A significant emphasis is placed on maintaining financial responsibility for the registered vehicle, underscored by the requirement for the owner to sign off, certifying the truthfulness of the information provided and the vehicle's restricted use primarily for exhibition and educational purposes. The process further elaborates on permit usage, including the allowance for driving the historic vehicle under certain conditions and the obligatory return of plates if the vehicle is disposed of. Addressing specific needs, the form makes provisions for disabled persons applying for personalized historic plates. With detailed requirements for each registration type, applicants are guided through the necessary steps, fees, and documentation to successfully navigate Missouri’s historic vehicle registration process, enhancing their experience of owning a vehicle of historic significance.
