Non Retirement Redemption Form PDF Details

When managing non-retirement investment accounts, individuals sometimes find themselves in need of liquidating assets, whether for personal cash flow, investment realignment, or other reasons. The Non-Retirement Account Redemption Form offered by Invesco provides a structured pathway for account holders to redeem shares with precision and understanding. Designed to ensure clarity and compliance, this form addresses key considerations such as the requirement to use blue or black ink and to print clearly in block capitals, underscoring the importance of legibility and accuracy in financial transactions. Account and registration information start off the form to securely identify the account owner, with meticulous instructions for redemption including choices between total or specific fund redemptions and guidance on cost basis methods that can significantly impact tax implications. The form goes further to clarify payment options, emphasizing the necessity of a signature guarantee under certain conditions to protect shareholders and the institution from fraud. Additionally, it sheds light on the operational nuances, such as delays in payment processing for redemptions funded by check or ACH, and provisions for situations that may require special attention, like corporate accounts or those affected by the death of an account owner. This form not only facilitates the redemption process but also prompts shareholders to consider the various outcomes of their choices, highlighting the recommendation to consult with a tax advisor or financial professional to fully understand the potential consequences of their redemption transactions.

Invesco Investment Services, Inc. (IIS) is responsible for tracking and reporting to the IRS adjusted cost basis on shares acquired on or after January 1, 2012, or in the case of Invesco Oppenheimer SteelPath Funds, January 1, 2011 (covered shares). Shares will be redeemed utilizing the current cost basis method on your account. If you have not previously elected a cost basis method, then IIS’s default method will be applied. If you would like to change your cost basis method, then please choose one of the methods below.

I choose the following cost basis method for all funds and transactions under the above account number(s):

*Average Cost is not available for all funds. Please refer to your fund’s prospectus for information about the methods available. The Average Cost method can be revoked and replaced with another method, up to the time of the first disposition of covered shares. After the first disposition of covered shares has occurred, then a change from the Average Cost method is effective only for the shares acquired after the change was made. Shares acquired prior to the change will retain the previously averaged cost per share for the purpose of calculating the gain or loss at the time of sale.
