CDSS Form SAR-7

CDSS Form SAR-7, or a Semi-Annual Reporting, is an official document that is used on the territory of California to receive cash aid and CalFresh benefits. You have to submit the form every six months to update any information that might have changed. The program is budgeted prospectively, which means that you are supposed to receive the payment for the upcoming period.

When Should I Submit It?

A household must deliver the report not later than on the 5th of the due month. If you fail to send the form on time, you will receive a notice of non-receipt. The SAR 90 reminder letter will be sent in case a household has not provided any information about their family getting CalFresh or cash aid after being notified.

Providing a not fully filled out form will not be accepted. There are a number of cases when the paper is considered incomplete:

  • The questions in the form are not fully answered or verified;
  • The report is not signed;
  • The paper does not contain information about the place where the household is located;
  • It is signed before the first day of the month you submit the form.

However, several factors might be evaluated as a good cause for late form submission. They include the recipient’s mental incompetence, the county’s error to provide the recipient with up-to-date info concerning the CDSS Form SAR-7, or other circumstances, which the court finds reasonable.
