Faru Form 103 PDF Details

The Faru 103 form is an essential document for residents of Prince George’s County who use residential alarm systems. Managed by the Prince George's County Police Department's False Alarm Reduction Unit, this form facilitates new registrations, renewals, and information changes for residential alarm users, without charging any permit fee. It covers a comprehensive range of details, from alarm location information, types of alarms (such as burglar, panic, robbery, and others), to specifics about the alarm system's connection, sound, and reset features. The form also requires the alarm user to provide a list of two contacts who can respond in the event of an alarm, as well as information about the alarm company involved in the sale, installation, maintenance, and monitoring of the system. Additionally, it addresses special conditions that may exist at the property, ensuring that responding officers are aware of factors like guard dogs, hazardous materials, or security guards. The registration process, bolstered by this form, is part of the county's efforts to reduce false alarms and improve response to actual emergencies. Importantly, it stipulates that registration of an alarm does not guarantee police response, which remains discretionary based on factors such as call priority and resource availability. Furthermore, the document outlines the false alarm fee structure for multiple false alarms, emphasizing the financial implications of failing to manage an alarm system responsibly. Ultimately, the Faru 103 form is a vital tool both for the county in administering its false alarm reduction efforts and for residents in ensuring their alarm systems are registered and managed in accordance with local regulations.
