The crisis affected the tax system and made significant changes to the rules and requirements to filling out legal documents, and the quarterly federal tax return is no exception. The state authorities have corrected this statement, and now everyone should familiarize themselves with the new rules that appeared in 2021. It is a mandatory requirement because this way, you will avoid mistakes and miscalculations.
The authorities adopted some changes to this form in October 2020, so read the innovations carefully. Its main task is to provide the possibility of making adjustments by employers to the amount of the employee’s share of the social security and insurance tax. Most employers applied the form during the third and fourth quarters of 2020.
What changes have occurred? Firstly, paragraph 24 is now intended to correct the deferral of the employer and employee’s share of the social security tax (third and fourth quarter of 2020). Secondly, the same item is intended for the employer under the same scenario, but only for the second quarter of the same fiscal year. Pay attention to the following provision related to loans. If you have applied for a loan for highly qualified sick workers or those who have taken a family leave, make changes to this form according to the new data. Use a specially designed form for this purpose.
This form is an official document in the labor sphere. It is necessary to have the voluntary, mutual consent of the two parties to conclude it. Issues regarding the refund of funds by the employee are also governed by local rules and laws.

In general, if you have not previously submitted Form 941 for one or more quarters, you do not need to use the above-mentioned additional application. You may fill out Form 941 for each quarter of a particular year.
Exclude the possibility of submitting the form in the last days of the deadline, as it will negatively affect your requests. Fill out the application on time. If you manage to make mistakes from January to March of the current year, submit the form until April 30 (included). If the errors occur in the forms you submitted from April to June, the deadline for filling out the application will be shifted to July 31 (from July to September is October 31, and from October to December is January 31).
