The Barclays Power of Attorney Submission Form lets account holders authorize a trusted person to manage their Barclays bank accounts. The account holder is called the donor. The person given authority is called the attorney. This Barclays form applies to current accounts, savings accounts, and Barclays Direct Investing accounts.
When completing this Barclays form, you need your account number and sort code for each account. You also decide how attorneys act: sole (one attorney acts alone), joint (all must agree), or jointly and severally (each can act independently). The form accepts up to four attorneys.
Each attorney must provide their full name, date of birth, home address, employment status, and nationality. Account access options include Telephone Banking, Debit Card, and Online Banking with PIN Sentry. Note that some access types are not available for Barclays Direct Investing accounts.
Before the Barclays form becomes active, each attorney signs a declaration confirming the donor has mental capacity to grant the power of attorney. Keep a copy after submitting the completed form to your Barclays branch.
