What is the Cadet Forces Medal?
The Cadet Forces Medal is a British military medal awarded to adult volunteers who have given at least 12 years of efficient, uniformed service in an MOD-Sponsored Cadet Force. A Clasp is added to the ribbon for each further 6 years of qualifying service completed.
Who processes the completed cadet application form?

Can service in different cadet organizations be combined?
Yes. Service across different MOD-Sponsored Cadet Forces may count toward the total, provided there are no gaps or overlapping periods between them and the service in each organization was efficient and uniformed.
How long does the application process take?
The timeline varies depending on your chain of command. Once all certification levels have signed the form, it is forwarded to the relevant Cadet Force HQ. Allow several weeks for processing after full certification is obtained.
