Canada Deposit Slip PDF Details

The Canada Deposit Slip is a form used when depositing cheques and cash at a Canadian bank. It records your deposit details and ensures funds are credited to the correct account. Banks such as TD Bank, BMO, RBC, and Scotiabank all use deposit slips for in-person transactions.

What the Form Records

The top of the form has fields for your name, the date, and your bank branch details. You enter your branch transit number and account number to direct the deposit to the right place.

Below this, you list each cheque on a separate line. Foreign cheques go in a dedicated row along with the current exchange rate. The form produces a cheque subtotal from all listed amounts.

Cash and Business Deposits

The cash section breaks deposits down by denomination. You enter the number and value of each bill or coin. Business customers can also record U.S. cash and U.S. cheques using the U.S. currency rows.

The form adds the cheque subtotal and cash subtotal to get the Total Deposit. Both the depositor and the bank teller sign the completed slip to confirm the transaction.
