What it is: This is the MV-27B Weekly Notification of Dealer Acquisition covering vehicles acquired for resale from an individual (non-dealer).

Anytown Auto Sales, a registered Pennsylvania dealer, reports on March 14, 2026 two vehicles it acquired from individuals during the past seven calendar days: line item 01 on March 9 and line item 02 on March 12. Every name, number, address and date in the example is made up. The form has one box for each character, so the example types the dates as two digits for the month, the day and the year, and writes each odometer reading as six digits (the first has a zero in front); the form does not say whether to use zeros in front. The first line item shows the first seven letters of a person's last name (Sampleton) and the second shows the first seven letters of a business name (Example Auto Sales).
