The California MC 012 is a post-judgment court form. Its full title is the Memorandum of Costs After Judgment, Acknowledgment of Credit, and Declaration of Accrued Interest.
Judgment creditors and their authorized representatives use this form after a civil judgment has been entered. The form serves three purposes. First, it lets the creditor list costs incurred while enforcing the judgment. Second, it allows the creditor to acknowledge payments already received from the debtor. Third, it declares the interest that has accrued on the unpaid judgment balance.
Recoverable costs listed on the MC 012 may include fees for issuing a writ of execution, levying officer fees, and fees for recording an Abstract of Judgment. These costs must be allowable under California Code of Civil Procedure section 685.040.
