When appointed or elected to an office of honor or trust under the Government of the United States, a person is required to take and subscribe the oath prescribed by 5 USC 3331.
Completing it: the form may be completed electronically using the standard Air Force forms software, or printed using black ink.
Civil official: if a civil official administers the oath, it must bear the official seal of the person administering it.
Notary: if a notary administers the oath, the AF Form 133 must bear the notarial seal or indicia.
Return it: return the AF Form 133 to the headquarters tendering the appointment.
On promotion: 10 USC 626 and 8394 eliminate the necessity of executing oath on promotion of officers.
