Who signs: When you are eligible and have reached the required totals, verify the totals on your Drive Time Log Sheet(s) are accurate. Enter these totals into the total driving time boxes. How to fill out Colorado Drive Time Log Sheet (DR 2324), box by box
Student's name and permit number
Enter the Student's name and the Permit number.
Total day, night and grand total driving time
If you are under 18 at the time you apply for your driver license, you are required by law to submit a log of your driving experience. The log must show a minimum total of 50 hours, with 10 hours of those 50 hours having been driven at night. You must submit the completed Drive Time Log Sheet at the time you apply for your license.
To complete your application for a license, your total day driving time, total night driving time and grand total driving time must be recorded. Your grand total driving time must be at least 50 hours and your total night driving time must be at least 10 hours. Your application for a license will not be accepted without the totals of each listed in the Total Day Driving Time, Total Night Driving Time and Grand Total Driving Time boxes and must include a signature from a parent, guardian, or responsible adult in the Signature box.
The 50 hour total may include your 6-hours of behind the wheel training with a driver education provider (if applicable). If you live more than 30 miles from the nearest driver education provider and are completing 12 additional hours of training in place of 6 hours with a driver education provider, the 12 hours is IN ADDITION to the standard 50 hour requirement, for a total of 62 hours.

Drive logs
Under DRIVE LOGS, enter the Date, Verifier's Initials, Day Driving Time, Night Driving Time and Grand Total, with the Comments.
The Drive Time Log Sheet is used any time you drive. Record the date, verifier's initials, day driving time, night driving time, and grand total each time you drive. The comments section is optional for licensing purposes, but may be useful for you to track your progress.
You may make photocopies of the drive log if you need more than one to record the required driving time.
