Own vehicles: agents, inspectors and law enforcement personnel are prohibited from verifying the VIN of their own personal vehicles.
Correcting a VIN: only a typographical error of one digit, transposition of two digits, or an engine number erroneously recorded as the Vehicle Identification Number.
State replacement plate: Section B must be completed by a police officer.
Odometer: the current certificate of title must be attached when applying for a correction of the odometer reading.
