Arizona has no statute that requires a bill of sale to be notarized. The MVD's Title Transfer Bill of Sale, Form 38-1306, still includes an acknowledgment block with space for a notary or MVD agent signature.[1] Page 4 of our form is an acknowledgment page you can use if you want one.
Only one owner's signature is required, regardless of the number of owners.[2.1] For a title and registration transfer, the MVD lists three items. They are a signed title and registration application (Form 96-0236), a signed vehicle title or Title Transfer Bill of Sale (Form 38-1306), and a lien release if one applies.[2.2]
